After an absence of twenty years the three hundred nameplate hits the showrooms again and after a thirty-four year hiatus the letter series makes its return. This time around there are no big inch V-8 engines, no convertibles and not even a two door in the model range.
It will however do the standing quarter quicker than any 300 letter car except the '63 300J; an ETA of 16 seconds flat at 89 mph. A top speed of 143 mph is also very much in the same league as three hundreds from 40 years ago. The 300M continued largely unchanged through the 2004 model year.
